Upcoming Campus Training Opportunities

  • Thursday, June 4th - Google Calendar - 10am & 3pm in CN 221, taught by Brandon Rasmussen

In this training we will help you organize your workday and your life. We will use the Google Calendar tools and proven productivity methods to help you feel on top of everything in your life. We will show you how to make "To Do Lists" from Emails and have them show up on your calendar. We will also cover ways to send out Meeting invitations, with attached agendas, and show you how to see who has accepted them. We will also go over the tools available in your Gmail to take back your workday and your peace of mind.

  • Thursday, June 11th - Windows Productivity Tips & Tools - 10am & 3pm in CN 221, taught by Jim Shakespear

In this training, you will learn productivity features within the Windows operating system (from Windows 7 and up). We'll review many common keyboard shortcuts, and hopefully introduce you to a few more. Besides just typical shortcuts, we'll explore a few of the built-in programs, and review a few of the settings that can help improve your workflow.  This training will be most beneficial to anyone who spends more than half their time working on computers since it deals with efficiency. In preparation for the training, please fill out the form located at (http://goo.gl/kRzCO4) and submit to Jim BEFORE the training session. Please include any specific comments in the form for what you hope to learn in the training: Jim will try to include them in his instruction.

  • Thursday, June 18th - Google Drive & Forms - 10am & 3pm in CN 221, taught by Brandon Rasmussen

Brandon will cover the basics of Docs and Forms, how to make them and when to use them. As always he will stay after for an hour to answer any specific questions that you may have.

  • Thursday, June 25 - Canvas - 3pm in CN 221, taught by Michelle Thayer

We will discuss/show examples of how Canvas can be used for organizations here at SUU. Even if you are not in an academic position, your college/department/ program can use Canvas as a way to share information, communicate, collaborate and track progress.  If you have any questions, please contact online@suu.edu

RSVP to campustraining@suu.edu if you're interested in attending any or all of the sessions.
