"Annual Giving, through the maintenance of a positive link with our alumni and friends, seeks to enhance scholarship resources for Southern Utah University."
Donor gifts to Southern Utah University are received as either one-time or annual gifts. Both types are vital to the day-to-day and long term operation of the university, and provide resources which may be utilized by the institution in many different and beneficial ways.
In addition, all gifts to the university are designated as either restricted or unrestricted gifts.
Restricted Gifts are those which are received for a specific purpose. For example, a donor may request that his or her gift be added to a specific scholarship fund or be directed to a particular academic department or other university program. Southern Utah University makes every effort to ensure that such gifts are administered according to the donor's request.
Unrestricted Gifts are those which are received free of any donor restriction. Such gifts are directed toward the areas of most pressing need at the university, and may include the university's general scholarship fund, specific programs or departments, campus development, or other areas of need.
Just as the university's generous donors choose to support the institution in many different manners, so too does SUU recognize the donors' friendship and generosity in a variety of ways. These are outlined below.
The President's Club - Those making annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the university automatically qualify for membership in the President's Club. Continued gifts of $1,000 or more on a yearly basis enable donors to maintain their membership in the President's Club. Additionally, members of the President's Club making annual unrestricted gifts are recognized at the following levels:
