The Receiving Department is located at the Motor Pool building at 1175 West 200 South Cedar City, Utah 84720. Receiving is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. To contact Receiving call 586-7792 or call the receiving dock at 865-8060.
All United States Postal Service mail goes to the SUU Post Office in the Sharwan Smith Center. All other freight (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.) packages come to the receiving dock. The delivery schedule for items coming into Receiving USUALLY goes as follows:
Freight Items:
Delivered anytime during the day
UPS (Ground and Overnight):
Delivered by 10:00 a.m.
FedEx (Ground):
Delivered by 9:30 a.m.
FedEx (Overnight):
Delivered by 11:00 a.m.
Airborne:
Usually delivered by noon
DHL:
Delivered anytime during the day.
All packages received prior to 1:30 p.m. are loaded onto the SUU delivery truck and delivered to campus. Campus delivery usually happens from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Freight is delivered as arranged by Receiving with the department that ordered the freight. All packages are delivered the next day.
Receiving records the following information for each item received: senders name, recipient's name, shipper's tracking number, and PO number if applicable. Receiving also records: date & time package is received by SUU and date, time & signature when package is delivered to its department.
Lost Packages
If you are looking for a lost package, please call Receiving at 586-7792. It is helpful if you have the lost package's tracking number, the name of the sender and the name of the recipient.
