| Description | This position is located out of the Powell District Office located in Panguitch, Utah. The primary responsibilities of this position include District level monitoring of Regional Sensitive species, threatened, and endangered species monitoring and work with other species and programs as assigned. Monitoring for the listed Utah prairie dog will be a substantial responsibility of this position as well as assisting in the translocation of this species. Experience with plaque abatement for the Utah prairie dog will also be a primary responsibility. Guzzlers and other water development repairs will occur during periods when sensitive species monitoring or prairie dog translocation/plague abatement is not possible. This position may include some limited fisheries support, and monitoring of sensitive plant species. ATV's may be necessary to access some sites and ATV training will be provided. Similarly, the position involves the use of a GPS and other small equipment; however, training will be provided for all equipment and monitoring/survey techniques. |

| Qualifications | A valid driver's license, willingness to operate an ATV. All camping gear will be provided by the Forest Service except for personal gear such as a sleeping bag. An attitude of support for safety in the workplace also. |
