On November 12, 2008, the model for collaboration created in 2006 with the Bryce Canyon National Park Alliance for Education was replicated as SUU formalized its relationship with Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Pipe Spring National Monument through the Zion Group Alliance for Education.

The Zion Group Alliance for Education agreement details the relationship between the park units and the University while this article from the SUU archives provides further information.
As part of SUU's commitment to the Zion Group and Zion National Park, Regional Services is a participant with the Zion Centennial Planning Committee. SUU faculty and staff are providing numerous activities as part of the 2009 Zion Centennial Celebration. Of special interest for SUU is the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery's 2009 exhibition schedule, which highlights Zion NP through the artistic endeavors of SUU faculty and students! This Zion Centennial project was funded through the SUU Outdoor Initiative.
