EARTH FEST 2012

Cedar City, UT (August 3RD 2012) – For all ages to enjoy! This Summer, Cedar City will proudly pledge to be more Sustainable, will you? Come enjoy our festivities at the Main Street Park by the Library(200N Main St.) from 10:00AM-3:00PM. This is sure to be an amazing event that will expand over the years! Come partake in several forms of eco-friendly entertainment. Fill out a pledge card to be part of a national initiative in promoting recycling! Learn ways to Reduce and Reuse your materials. Explore the available resources in this area. Come take a tour of the Southwest Utah Renewable Energy Centers' Education Trailer (SUTREC). Games and crafting will be available for all ages, on a first come first serve basis while supplies last. Virgin Valley Recycling will be hosting an electronic waste drive (no TV's). Latex Paint collection is offered by St. George's Habitat for Humanity to all in the region. A propane canister recycling machine is going to be provided by Bryce Canyon NPS to all those in the area for the day who wish to dispose of their metal fuel containers. Free Green Giveaways (pens, bottles, bags, stickers and more) throughout the Celebration!
