SUU In View (Alumni Magazine - Fall 2002)
Dear SUU Alumni,
This past year has been quite busy for the Alumni Association and plans indicate that the coming year will be every bit as busy and exciting.
First, we want to make you aware that the J. Reuben Clark Jr. Alumni House will also be the temporary home of the Braithwaite Arts Gallery for the next year while the Braithwaite Liberal Arts Center on campus undergoes renovation. This development provides the Alumni Association the opportunity to complete some much needed renovation of its own, as well as introduce more individuals to the Alumni House. Stop by and see how your Alumni House is improving.
We're pleased to announce that the Alumni Association has organized alumni chapters in Cedar City and Las Vegas, and has begun preliminary organizational meetings in the Salt Lake City area. The Alumni Relations Office is sponsoring two trips again this coming school year: one to San Antonio in late September, and one to the Mid-Con Basketball Tournament in Kansas City the second weekend in March 2003.
You may have noticed in the Spring 2002 issue of SUU In View, we have begun a push in Utah for alumni and friends of SUU to purchase SUU license plates for their automobiles with the proceeds going to fund much needed scholarships for students. All the funds raised through this program in your county will be allocated for students from your county. The license plates are available from wherever you register your vehicle.
We appreciate so very much the support and loyalty of our many wonderful alumni. We desire to be of service to you in any way we can. Keep in touch.
