The SUU Department of Art and Design presents Art Insights: Dan Anderson, Thursday, December 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the Centrum Arena, Section K.

Anderson is Professor Emeritus at Southern Illinois University, and his work is included in hundreds of collections internationally. His presentation will be based on what his thrown and hand-built ceramic pieces communicate and their origins and inspirations. In addition to his Art Insights lecture, Anderson will spend Friday, December 4, 2009, giving workshops that will include demonstrations of his techniques and offering critiques of student artwork in Centrum Room 203.

Art Insights is a weekly program hosted during the Fall and Spring semesters by the Art and Design faculty. In Art Insights students and community members meet weekly to attend gallery openings and experience presentations and discussions by visiting artists and art educators from around the nation who share their work and insights.
