Math 0990 Beginning Algebra

Description: Signed numbers, linear equations & inequalities, integer exponents, polynomials & factoring, quadratic equations, graphing, sequences, sets, and radicals.

Credits:  4

Prerequisite(s): Math ACT score of at least 14, or a grade of B- or better or P in Math 0950 within the last two years, or a satisfactory score on the math placement exam. Students with no Math ACT score, or scores older than two years, must take the placement exam. Student Support Center permission required for students taking the SSS sections.

Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer

Other:  80% (B-) minimum for successful completion.  Credit not counted towards graduation.
