Admission deadlines for the SUU Graduate Studies in Education Master’s Degree Program occur three times each year. They include:

Administrative Internship Application:

 

Application with all forms - 1099, Mentor Acceptance, or submission of Internship Permission form deadlines:

• Fall internship, all paperwork must be submitted by May 1st .
• Spring internship, all paperwork must be submitted by September 1 .
• Summer Capstone Internship only, paperwork must be submitted by January 1 .

 

Mandatory Orientation:

 

ALL CANDIDATES MUST attend as part of the admission requirements and before registration of classes.

Graduate Tuition Waivers:

 

Each year the Provost’s Office provides a limited number of tuition waivers for Graduate students.  Waivers are granted on the following basis:

• A need basis, with preference given to full-time graduate students
• Availability of funds

PRAXIS Exams:

• Educational Leadership:  Administration & Supervision (Test # 0410), 2 hour test.  This is under the PRAXIS II Series.
• GELP Elementary:  Elementary Education Content Knowledge (Test #0014).  Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT)  [Test #0522]
• GELP Secondary:   Bachelor Degrees accepted for GELP Secondary Licensure and Praxis Test Codes/Passing Score: Biology (0235 / 160); Chemistry (0245 / 164) ; English (0041 / 168); French (0173 / 181); German (0181 / 153); Mathematics (0061 / 138); Physical Education (0091); Physical Science (0481 / 164); Social Science (0081 / 159); Spanish (0191 / 161).     Principles of Learning and Teaching (PLT) [ Test #0524]
• Special Education:  Elementary Level (Test #0014); Secondary Level (Test#0511)
• Have the exam scores sent to:   SUU (A4092 school code) and USOE (R8375 state code).

Graduation Deadline:

 

All Graduation papers must be submitted by October 1 in order to walk in the May Graduation Ceremony.

Graduates who have all course work completed but not the defense, and expect to walk in the May Graduation, must defend their project by the dates listed below.

All course work, as well as the defense, must be completed.
