This is the tell of Rosalind, the daughter of a banished duke, who falls in love with Orlando the disinherited son of one of the duke's friends. Soon she is also banished from the court by her usurping uncle, Duke Frederick. Touched by adventure, Rosalind takes on the disguise of a young man and travels with her cousin Celia and the court jester, Touchstone, to the Forest of Arden, where her father and his friends live in exile. Themes about life and romance, including aging, the natural world, and death abound in this wondrous play where friends are made, families are reunited and love conquers all.
