Southern Utah University, Cedar City, Utah: Tired of laboring over your holiday shopping? Then shop for unique gifts with a special one-of-a-kind flair that also benefit art students. This year do your seasonal shopping at the SUU’s Ceramics Guild’s Annual Holiday Sale. This shopping opportunity takes place in two locations, Thursday and Friday, November 21 and 22, 2013, in the Living Room of SUU’s Sharwan Smith Center from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Then on Saturday, November 23rd, the sale shifts to Cedar City’s Studio 546 located at 546 North 300 West. This event is 7-9pm. Both sale events are open to the general public who is encouraged to attend.

The talented and skilled members of SUU’s Ceramics Guild have created a diverse array of functional and decorative gift items and table ware such as plates, tea pots, platters, casseroles, lidded containers, bowls and mugs. The items are all finished with glazes that are food safe and contain no lead. Whether that person on your holiday gift list is a foodie or just wants to snuggle up this winter with a mug of soup, you will find something at the Holiday Sale.

The proceeds from the holiday sale events go to support the Guild members who want to attend the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Conference (NCECA) and the visiting artist program in Ceramics and to teach a useful form of professional activity to Ceramics majors.

Purchase the perfect and very unique holiday gift and support students by attending SUU’s Ceramics Guild’s Holiday Sale. For more information on the SUU College of Performing and Visual Arts events, please call the Arts Hotline at (435) 865-8800, or visit www.suu.edu/pva/arts.
