Calculus II Honors, Review Problems for Exam 2

Disclaimer: Remember that this is only a list of things to look over to help you remember that main topics, any one of which – should these problems give you trouble – you should go over in much more detail to be ready for the test. This just gives us some things to work on in class.

A Little Change in Schedule: I will be out of town Th-Fri, February 21-22, for the State 3A HS Basketball Tournament. I will be available (talk or text) by cell at 435-590-4516 if you have emergency Qs before taking the exam. Because of pushing through these sections and because we’re just a little behind, EXAM 2 WILL NOT HAVE SECTION 8.4 but will move it to Exam 3. I DO plan to cover it during the week if we can so you can have its HW done for the following week, but you don’t need to spend time on it until after you’ve aced the test. J

7.7: 10 (a,c only), 29 (a,c only), 39 (but use n=4 for simplicity)

8.2: For functions over intervals given in each problems, set up an integral representing the area of the surface of revolution about both the x and y-axis. Try to integrate it if possible: 8, 15

8.3: 6, 14, 28, 36
