Danielle Beazer Dubrasky is an Associate professor of Creative Writing at Southern Utah University. She is the author of Persephone Awakened, a chapbook of poems designed by book artist Sue Cotter of Woodhenge Press. She is a two-time recipient of the Utah Arts Council First Place Award for Poetry: first in 2006 for a book-length collection of poems entitled To Live Elsewhere, and in 2012 for The Sandman. Her poetry has been published in ECOllective, Tar River Poetry, Weber Studies, Petroglyph, Dialogue and other places. She has collaborated with choreographers, composers, and visual artists in performances of her poetry. Danielle grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia. She has a master’s degree in English from Stanford University, and a PhD from the University of Utah’s Creative Writing program.
