I have been interested in woodworking for twenty years. I have taught woodworking in high school and in college. I have been involved with teaching woodworking from beginning woodworkers to highly skilled craftspeople. Because of my interest in the woodworking industry, I have owned a picture framing business, had my own woodworking shop at home, designed log homes and served as a consultant for various woodworking manufactures.

I have also been an active woodturner and have been practicing woodturning for several years. I like to make pens and pencils. Since I am a collector of pens, being able to make my own high quality pens has been very satisfying.

I also use and teach AutoCAD and Microstation. One of the major activities that I use CAD for is to design and draw homes. I have been involved in the construction business for that past 20 years. During that time I have built houses, but for the most part I have limited my activity to design work.

My hobbies include golf (not very good), camping and woodturning. If you like to golf, Cedar City is the place to go. The city sits at 5800 feet above sea level. An average drive will go about 50 years further than normal. I also like to travel into the desert to explore the ghost towns. I have only lived in the area a short time but I like the climate, the city, and best of all the people.
