Donations and Volunteers

We appreciate donations and volunteers.  It is nececessary to have them in order to get our continuation grant each year.  Our program must generate enough InKind from donations and volunteers to match our grant by 25%.  If you would like to help our program by donating or volunteering, read on.

Donations

You don't have to have money to donate to our program.  Our classroom teachers always have a wish list of everyday items you could donate.  Some of these items may include:   peanut butter, karo syrup, yarn, craft/art supplies, dramitic play clothing, sand toys, books and toys in good condition.  Please see our staff listing to contact our teachers to see what their specific wishes are.  Your donations may also be counted as a tax credit through SUU (volunteer time excepted).  We do not accept donations of used computers. Please see our policy on community donations for more details.

You are also welcome to donate office supplies such as:  paper clips, staples, copy paper, pens, pencils, markers, envelopes, file folders and more.  Contact Christa Cardon for more information.

Some of our playgrounds need improvement.  If you have a service club or boy scout troop who are looking for a project, contact Jim Beatty.  He would be glad to have your help.

Volunteers

If you would like to volunteer in our classrooms, please contact Darlene Storie.  The only requirements are that you are age 18 or greater, love children, and can work cooperatively with our teachers.  If you want to volunteer regularly you will be asked to get a TB test and pass a background check.
