Accomplished Graphic Designer at Art Insights

The SUU Department of Art and Design will feature Jiong Li in this weeks Art Insights seminar Thursday, October 5th at 7 p.m. in the J.L. Sorenson Physical Education Building, room 101. Li will present “neither here nor there,” a presentation on graphic design in the real world.

Currently, Jiong is an assistant professor at Southern Utah University, teaching computer arts, typography and motion graphics. He has been working in the field of visual communication since 1997.

Jiong’s clients include SONY, Airwalk, American Express, Tri-City Medical Center, San Diego Gas & Electric, Nora Eccles Harrison Museum of Art, Caine Lyric Theatre, and Utah State University.

Jiong's work has been recognized by HOW magazine and Art Directors and Artists Club (ADAC). It has also been featured in many books and design websites around the world, such as Web Design Index, design-agency, k10k, SHIFT. In addition, his work has been exhibited in Utah and California, including one solo show at San Diego Taiwan Center Gallery in 2000.

Art Insights is a weekly program hosted during the Fall and Spring semesters by the Art and Design faculty. Art Insights brings professionals from many different fields of the visual art world to Cedar City. Admission is free, and the general public is invited to attend.
