Highly Acclaimed Web Designer Presents at Art Insights

The SUU Department of Art and Design will feature Wang Wei, a web designer, in this weeks Art Insights presentation Thursday, March 29th at 7 p.m. in the J.L. Sorenson Physical Education Building, room 101.

Wei is a highly recognized and awarded web designer and has been the recipient of several major interactive design awards, including a Gold Addy Award and a Best of Show: Interactive from the Montgomery Advertising Federation, a 2005 Horizon International Interactive Design Award, and the most recent, a 2006 Interactive Award from Portfolios.com.

Since receiving his Master of Fine Arts from Louisiana Tech University in 1999, Wei has taught graphic and web design at Auburn University. Wei’s main areas of research are corporate identity, interactive multimedia design, and Web design. Wei’s professional portfolio includes designing websites for clients in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana, Tennessee, California and New York.

Art Insights is a weekly program hosted during the Fall and Spring semesters by the Art and Design faculty. Art Insights brings professionals from many different fields of the visual art world to Cedar City. Admission is free, and the general public is invited to attend.
