SUU Cardboard Drive Continues

Southern Utah University will once again host a cardboard recycling drive this Saturday, September 1. The drive, which will be held from 9-11 a.m. at SUU’s baseball field parking lot on University Boulevard between 800 West and 1150 West, is the third such drive this summer.

Originally, SUU hosted cardboard drives on a trial basis to gauge community interest in increased recycling efforts in Southern Utah. However, the first two drives were successful enough that campus authorities have decided to hold a monthly cardboard drive as long as the community continues using the service.

Residents are asked to only bring their cardboard between the hours of the drive, and to ensure all cardboard is broken down in advance if at all possible. This will help keep the parking lot clean, and ensures this service can continue.
