Southern Utah University’s Service and Learning Center and the Volunteer Center of Iron County will host a morning full of family-friendly events for Iron County’s Make a Difference Day, with events planned to generate non-food item donations that will benefit the local Family Support Center and the Iron County Care and Share.

Iron County Make a Difference Day is slated for this Saturday, October 25. Activities will kick off at 10 a.m. with a 2k and 5k walk/run along the Coal Creek Trail with additional family friendly activities and prizes.

All members of the community and press are invited to join in the fun. Admission to all of the morning’s events is a donation of toilet paper, soap, shampoo, diapers or any other essential non-food item.
Those interested in donating who cannot attend the morning’s activities may also drop off non-food essentials donations at SUU’s Service and Learning Center within the Sharwan Smith Student Center any time through October 31.
