As summer comes to an end and school begins again, the Utah Shakespeare Festival would like to welcome students by extending a special offer to attend the Festival plays. All SUU students who have a valid school ID may receive the Festival's exclusive Student Access Card.
The card, which costs just $35, is valid for one ticket per show, for an unlimited number of shows August 19 to October 19. Student Access Cards are available for purchase in person at the Festival Ticket Office.
Marketing Director Kami Terry Paul created this initiative as an affordable option for students to enjoy the many Festival offerings: “Part of the mission of the Utah Shakespeare Festival is to educate, and we think it’s important students of all ages have the opportunity to experience our productions. The Student Access Card is good for one ticket to as many performances as you like during the 2013 season, so we hope to see a lot of students seeing a lot of shows.”
Students must present their student ID card to purchase the Student Access Card at the Festival Ticket Office. To redeem tickets using the Student Access Card, students must present their card and their student ID on the day of the show. Tickets are non-transferable.
The Festival’s 52nd season runs through October 19, 2013. The summer season, ending August 31, includes Shakespeare’s King John, Love’s Labour’s Lost, and The Tempest, as well as Twelve Angry Men by Reginald Rose and Anything Goes by Cole Porter. Peter and the Starcatcher, by Rick Elice, runs during the summer and fall seasons, and is joined in the fall by The Marvelous Wonderettes by Roger Bean and Shakespeare’s Richard II.
