SUU Orientation

Travel and Directions


Most Orientation programs are held in the Sharwan Smith Student Center, which is located just east of the Centrum Arena. Our Aviation Student Orientation is held in the Business Building and in certain circumstances your program may be held in the Hunter Conference Center.  Thunder Academy is held in multiple locations, with most being in the Centrum Arena. The address to campus is 351 W. University Blvd, Cedar City, UT 84720. Please check your email for the most updated information on your orientation location.

Driving Directions

  • Take Interstate 15 to Exit 59
  • Turn east onto UT 56/200 North
  • Turn right onto 800 West

Please park on either side of the Sharwan Smith Student Center for convenient access to Orientation. Parking permits are not required when school is not in session or during summer semester. View a campus map for a detailed view of the parking lots.

By Air:

Students can fly directly into Cedar City or St. George, Utah, or into nearby international airports in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Salt Lake City, Utah. From Salt Lake, Las Vegas or St. George, arrangements can be made via shuttle systems.

Shuttle Services

St. George Express
St. George Express provides transportation from Las Vegas to St. George.

St. George Shuttle
St. George Shuttle provides transportation between St. George and Salt Lake City and stops in Cedar City.

Grey Hound
Grey Hound provides transportation from Las Vegas to St. George and from Salt Lake City to St. George.

Aztec Shuttle
Aztec Shuttle provides transportation from Salt Lake City to Las Vegas and stops in Cedar City and from St. George to Cedar City.
