Art and Design Faculty Exhibit
February 4, 2010-March 13, 2010
Ten full-time faculty and eleven adjunct Art and Design faculty will exhibit work during this exhibition. Part of the inspiration for this exhibit comes from the Parowan Gap. During the Fall 2009 semester, faculty and students visited the area and created new work using the land formation as inspiration. Other pieces created by faculty members will also be on display. Artwork was developed using a variety of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, graphic design, photography, and illustration.
This exhibit will open with a reception on Thursday, February 4, 2010, at 7 p.m.
SOUTH HALL GALLERY
Digital Photography
December 10, 2009-February 16, 2010
Work by students in the Art 3800 Digital Photography class will be on display beginning December 10, 2010. Students selected themes to create final projects using a the concepts learned during the semester. The projects range from documentary-style bodies of work to more conceptually-based ones.
The exhibit will be open in South Hall, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public.
The Braithwaite Gallery offers the campus and community an exceptional venue for well known internationally touring exhibitions as well as work by our students, faculty, and artists of Utah.
Gallery Hours:
June - August
Monday - Saturday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
and
September - May
Tuesday - Saturday, noon to 7 p.m.
Located on the ground floor in the Braithwaite Liberal Arts Center building on the east end of the beautiful SUU campus. Free Admission.
