Notes from the Interim Dean
Supporting Students... Supporting the Arts...
Since my position change in October 2009 from Department Chair of Theatre Arts and Dance to Interim Dean of the College of Performing and Visual Arts, I have been provided a wonderful perspective of all the arts at Southern Utah University. We have over 500 students majoring in art disciplines at SUU and we sponsor over 100 concerts, plays, lectures, presentations and exhibitions for the campus and our community. In order to ensure a strong future for the arts at SUU, we all need to do our part to support scholarships to deliver quality educational experiences for our students. Many faculty and staff in the College of Performing and Visual Arts use payroll deduction to assist in scholarships to support our students. We are also enlisting our community members and alumni who share in our passion for providing a strong future for the artists of tomorrow.
