designimg We are pleased to provide you with these web pages which summarize the role of Southern Utah University School of Continuing and Professional Studies.  Our staff is committed to extending the University to serve both the campus community and the surrounding region.

I would draw your attention to our mission statement below.  This statement details our role, as part of Southern Utah University, in serving students away from the campus, and addressing the needs of the campus community for courses and programs during the summer and evening.  The School also serves as a catalyst to help the University explore and implement new programs and opportunities.

It has become increasingly evident that the role of universities is changing, requiring us to be more attentive to the needs and desires of students who are not able to attend school during the traditional daytime academic year. While SUU is, and will continue to be, primarily a traditional residential institution, we also recognize the importance of meeting these nontraditional needs.
