About the "ACDC"
The Academic and Career Development Center (ACDC) is a service of the Office of the Provost and is home to many academic support programs designed to assist and enrich a student's learning.
The center oversees:
- Academic and Career Advising
- General Associate Degree Advising
- Full and Part-Time Job Search Assistance
- Career Placement Assistance
- First-Year Seminar Program (UNIV 1000)
- Tutoring Services
- Learning Assistance and Supplemental Math Instruction
- Testing Services
- Testing Center
- University Orientation (UNIV 1010)
- College Connections Program (UNIV1020/1015)
- Academic Probation
- University Studies Courses
Additionally the ACDC provides administrative support for campus-wide programs such as:
- Faculty Service-Learning
- Convocations Lecture Series (UNIV 2010)
- Parent Services
Most Academic and Career Development Center services are located in Sharwan Smith Center Suites: 101 and 177. Testing services are located in ELC 113 and 105.
