Welcome to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at Southern Utah University. Our purpose is to help SUU students achieve their educational, career and personal goals. We understand that students’ first priority is to successfully earn a degree and we are here to assist them in addressing the stress and conflicts that may distract them from achieving their full potential. CAPS is staffed with experienced licensed mental health professionals including psychologists, social workers, and mental health counselors who work with students to reduce the interference of everyday stress and also treat more serious conditions.
CAPS offers services including:
- Individual counseling
- Couples counseling

All of our services are confidential* and free to SUU students. We strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for students of all ages, cultures, ethnicities, genders, gender identities, mental and physical abilities, national origins, races, religions, sexual orientations, sizes and socioeconomic statuses.
