Multicultural Students

Bienveniedos, Aloha, Talofa, Annyoung, and Ya’at’eeh!

Welcome to your “home away from home.”  The Multicultural Center (MCC) wants to extend best wishes for a successful experience at SUU.   The MCC is a great place to come between classes to meet people, study, use computers, or hang out on the couch and watch TV.

Sometimes adjusting to university life can be difficult, even for experienced students. Remember we are here for you.  The Multicultural Center serves American ethnic minority and international students through academic advisement, counseling, and access to financial aid/scholarships. The MCC also promotes diversity at SUU through clubs (Asian Club, Black Student Alliance, Hispanic Leadership, Native American Student Association, and Polynesian Club) forums, and cultural weeks.  We welcome your participation, concerns, suggestions, and ideas for improving diversity at SUU.

In addition to academic advisement, the Multicultural Center can help coordinate tutoring for general education classes.  The Multicultural Center offers computer access and group study areas, and many times study groups are formed or informal tutoring takes place.

Again, welcome to SUU! We are glad you are here and hope that we may be able to serve you.  Feel free to drop by the MCC.  We are open from 8 am to 5 pm, and are located in ST 107, right across from the Thunderbird cafeteria.

We look forward to having you join our many cultures!
