2007 Homecoming: Parade registration information and sign-up

Welcome

Welcome to the Student Involvement & Leadership web site. The mission of our office is to provide the students of Southern Utah University ample opportunity to get involved on campus.

What can I do?

Well, let's see… first shut off your TV and come to some activities. The Student Government of SUU has a programming board that plans and implements all sorts of activities from plain old dances to concerts (mainstage and unplugged) like Tonic & Sawyer Brown to local talent. The Student Activity Office also programs comedians and has four main focus weeks throughout the school year.

If you are into specific type of activities that SUUSA doesn't program check into one of our 80+ clubs on campus .

The Southern Utah University Student Association (SUUSA) is almost 7,000 members strong. Twenty-two government positions are elected by the students of SUU, the others appointed by the elected executive committee. Most positions include a stipend and or partial scholarship. The students of SUUSA work hard at keeping the best interest of the student in mind when working to solve the problems or concerns SUU encounters is another exciting area, from which to get an education.

Service-Learning is a method of teaching and learning that combines academic work with service to the community. the experience is then processed weither through journaling or group discussion. The University offers college credit for students interested in service learning.

Greek Life is another option to get involved. On Campus we have two National Fraternities (SC & SN), one National Sorority (AP), and one local Sorority (DPO). Going Greek is a great way to meet and hang with people who have similar interests. Being a Greek on campus means being a leader.

How do I get involved?

You can start by writing us an email with the information you want. Applications for SUUSA positions are usually available at the end of March. Let us know and we will send you one. Other information is available through Admissions .

Thanks for reviewing the site and I look forward to seeing you on campus!
