Family Planning/Birth Control

Prescriptions for birth control pills, the NuvaRing, and the Depo Provera shot, are available at the SUU Student Health Clinic. Condoms are also available at the SUU Student Health Clinic.

If you have questions or concerns about birth control, your menstrual periods, preventing or testing for sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), or bladder infections, please call (435) 586-7718 for an appointment with our health care provider. We are located in the Sharwan Smith Center, room 168, across from the Post Office.

Women’s health exams (pap smears) are available at the SUU Student Health Clinic. The cost is $40.00. This includes a physical exam, urine test, a hemoglobin test for anemia, and the pap smear for cervical cancer. If testing for sexually transmitted disease is needed there is an additional charge.

Emergency contraception (Morning After Pill, Plan B) is now available over the counter at pharmacies.
