School districts will rarely consider a teacher until they have the opportunity to thoroughly review the credential file. Therefore it is in your interest to prepare your file in a way that will demonstrate your knowledge, competence, and professionalism. Failure to do so will create obstacles for you which may be impossible to overcome. Spelling, typing and grammatical errors, make very poor impressions. Carefully proofread what you have written.
In the past SUU has managed the student's credential file. As of August 1, 2013, all students are required to self-manage their own files. Credential Files set up before this date, are still on file with SUU and can be accessed by phoning our office at (435) 586-1963 or emailing Dale Orton firstname.lastname@example.org or KayLynn Jensen email@example.com

Self-Managed Files allow candidates the flexibility to adapt the application to the method requested by each school district and give candidates complete control over the process. Credential files contain the following information.
Note: The Word and Excel files work best if you download them to your computer before working on them.
The announcements information is updated as information is received. Please check with Shirley Wilson or Betty Ann Remember, Education Department, to be added to the mailing list.
