Tenth Annual Student-Faculty Scholarship Day

Rising to New Heights
Wednesday, April 22, 2009
Sharwan Smith Center

The Annual Student-Faculty Scholarship Day (SFSD) is intended to encourage and promote scholarship among faculty and students.  The conference honors and showcases the cooperative efforts between members of both groups to enhance their academic, professional, and personal growth.

Students interested in presenting their collaborative work must complete the SFSD submission form no later than Friday, March 20th, 2009.  Examples of scholarly activities which may be submitted include, but are not limited to: research results, literary critiques, musical recitals, dance performances, and other artistic/scholarly work.

There is no registration fee.  Both campus and community members are welcome and encouraged to attend the conference.  Student presenters and their advisors/mentors, students enrolled in the honors program, and students enrolled in the service learning scholar program, will be treated to an awards ceremony in their honor later that day in the Gilbert Great Hall from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Students may bring up to three guests to the ceremony.

Prizes will be awarded to students for the best presentation(s) in each category. Categories and prizes will be established based on the number and nature of the submissions received.

Help us make the 10th Anniversary for the SFSD a memorable one!
