Living on a student budget can be difficult, but if you know where to look for student deals you may be surprised at what you can afford. Here is a list of local (Cedar City) and national brands that offer affordable products and services that will help you save a dime or two.

Lending a Helping Hand Cedar City - Anyone can ask for assistance on the wall or through a private message. The group is not allowed to sell or buy anything here. This site is simply to help those in need.

HOPE Pantry - Located on SUU's campus in the Community Engagement Center, the HOPE Pantry is open 8am-5pm. No-questions-asked environment where you can grab cans and food.
Bread and Soup Night - The first Monday of every month on SUU's campus, you can bring a can of food for free soup and bread.
The Food Pantry - 2111 North Main Street Cedar City
Open every Wednesday from 2pm-6pm. No questions asked here. If you need food you will receive a bag and/or box full.
Care and Share - 222 W 900 N Cedar City
They offer emergency food boxes, monthly and weekly food boxes for those in need. Bring your driver’s license.

Most local restaurants offer discounts to students with an SUU Student ID. Make sure to let your waiter, waitress, or cashier know that you have a student ID so they can apply your discount.

Allstate - Single, full-time students under the age of 25 can save up to 20% for getting good grades.
Farmers Insurance - Students with a “B” average.They offer a Good Student Discount for getting good grades.
Geico - Students with a “B” average are be eligible for the Geico Good Driver Discount.
State Farm - Students under the age of 25 with good grades receive 25% savings.
