College Student Recipes: Easy Chili Fry Bread

Chili Fry BreadNavajo Tacos are fry bread topped with homemade chili and taco fixings. Indian fry bread became a Navajo tradition in the mid-1800s. As years passed it became a common food among many tribes across the American continents. Today, fry bread is often found at state fairs and is served with honey, cinnamon, sugar or honey butter.

For the fry dough you can either make your own bread dough or use frozen rolls. However, if you chose to use frozen dough make sure you set it out to thaw at room temperature (this usually takes 1-2 hours depending on the dough). If you’re in a hurry try one of these quick methods for thawing frozen bread dough.
