The Nest is Southern Utah University’s student help center. Created to answer any questions you may have, point you in the right direction, give you advice, a place to do homework and relax, and a one-stop-shop for all of your student and academic needs.
Over 5,000 T-Birds Visited The Nest Last Year
Don’t be afraid to stop by and ask for help or say hello! The Nest is here to answer any and all questions you might have as a T-Bird. The most popular visits to The Nest include:
- Where to find your classes on campus
- Where to find an office or resource on campus
- Help with class registration
- Questions about campus events and activities
- Advice on roommate issues
- Help finding a job
- How to improve time management
- Coming by before a test for a pep talk
Meet the ACES & Peer Mentors
Based in The Nest, SUU's ACES (Assistant Coaches for Excellence & Success) serve as personal peer-mentors to each first-year student at SUU. ACES contact incoming students throughout the summer in order to assist each student with completing the T-Bird Takeoff Modules (TTQ), Online Orientation, schedule a personalized visit to campus, as well as to prepare each student for the amazing fall welcome - Thunder U. As a new student to SUU, the ACES are here to guide you every step of the way from now until you graduate.
Visit The Nest
The Nest is located in the Sharwan Smith Student Center ST 178, near the northeast end of the building. The Nest is typically open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on weekends and campus holidays.
