Southern Utah University's Postal Operations and Receiving is dedicated to serving and enhancing SUU’s mission, as well as meeting the many mail services needs of our students, faculty, and staff. Essential to this support is ensuring timely and accurate delivery of mail and packages to the campus community and they currently pickup and deliver mail to over 95 different departments each day.
“We love visitors and our students love to have other students, faculty, and staff come in and use our services,” said Bruce Barclay, manager of Post Office and Receiving. “One thing we love to see is the excitement that comes as students receive packages from home. It's the greatest!”
The Post Office’s student staff handles the pickup, sorting, and delivering of interdepartmental mail and all U.S. Postal Service mail. The team issues over 600 P.O. boxes to students each semester. In addition to handling all daily mail, the Post Office handles outgoing UPS, DHL, FedEx, and U.S. Mail. The team also provides a full service post office, offering all the same services as the Cedar City Post Office without the long lines.
The Postal Operations and Receiving team includes Bruce Barclay and 18 student workers. The team likes to have fun with an annual Christmas gift exchange and pizza parties.
To contact Postal Operations and Receiving, call 435-865-8232, email postoffice@suu.edu, or visit the office at 1175 West 200 South. The Post Office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
