Terminal Degree Programs Offered at SUU

If you’ve been researching graduate programs, you’ve probably seen the term “terminal degree” thrown around. Depending on your field of study, a terminal degree can either be a master’s degree or a doctorate degree.
What is a Terminal Degree?
By definition, however, a terminal degree is the highest degree one can earn in their field of study. The possession of a terminal degree also allows you to be able to teach at universities.
Two terminal degrees are offered at Southern Utah University, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Fine Arts in Arts Administration.
What Can You Do With a Terminal Degree?
The biggest advantage of pursuing a terminal degree is that you can teach at a university and be eligible for tenure after the completion of a terminal degree.
