Starting a new semester can be overwhelming – new roommates, different towns, trying to find classes, and so much more. Here at the SUU Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business, we want you to succeed and start the semester off strong. The Leavitt School of Business offers a ton of resources for students to help them prepare for their future careers and lives. Here is a list of helpful resources for you to start the semester off right!
Clubs
Did you know that Leavitt School of Business has a club for each major? With 11 clubs, you should be able to find a group to get involved with. Business School clubs are actively involved on campus and participate in many national events. For instance, you can compete at national competitions with FBLA, go to food truck dinners to meet employers with PAC, visit companies across the country with the Econ club, visit NYC with the Finance Club, and so much more. Each club is focused on providing experiences for students to assess various professional opportunities and to gain skills and perspective for their future careers.

Career Services
Not only does SUU have a Career Services Center that serves the entire campus, but the Leavitt School of Business has its own Career Services Center designated for business students. Madalyn Swanson, the Business Career Services Coordinator, works hard to connect all students to their future goals before graduation. Swanson helps with internships, employment opportunities, and graduate programs as well as professional development essentials like resume building, mock interviews, and so much more.

Entrepreneurship Program
Calling all entrepreneurs! Housed in the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business, the Larry H. & Gail Miller Center for Entrepreneurship Program supports all entrepreneurs across campus. With the three guiding principles: educate, experience, and elevate. Students are able to initiate their own businesses with the support of mentors and experts. The Entrepreneurship Program enables students to expand their ideas by organizing competitions, providing scholarships, bringing in entrepreneurs for the Speaker Series, and more.
Writing and Tutoring Center
Need help studying for managerial finance or writing your midterm paper about supply chain management? The SUU Writing and Tutoring Center is here for you! Located in BC 101, the Writing Center welcomes all students of every confidence level to succeed in every stage of their writing process. Schedule an appointment with a Writing Tutor here!
SUU also offers help with tutoring by providing over 70 tutors covering nearly 150 courses, you are able to deepen your understanding and knowledge of certain subjects to help you succeed in your academics. In ELC 204, the Tutoring Center offers academic tutoring, coaching, time management, and organization services, the Tutoring Center can help you get an A this semester!
