The Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business wants to extend a warm welcome back to our returning and first-time business students! We hope that this semester will be life-changing for you–whether it’s the first or the last. The Leavitt School of Business has some unique resources offered to students to ensure their success and prepare them for whatever comes their way post-graduation. We’ve compiled a list of these great resources for students to take advantage of this semester:
Career Center
The Career Center is an invaluable resource for undergraduate students in the business school. The mission of the Career Center is to connect students with their goals and future careers before graduation. The team at the Career Center offers advice on resume writing, deciding on a career or major, internships, interviewing assistance and more. They also hold job fairs, career fairs, and internship fairs at least twice a month. The Career Center at the Leavitt School of Business helps develop the skills to put the concepts learned in the classroom to use to make yourself marketable and competitive in a professional atmosphere.

Clubs
One of the best ways to find your niche in college is to get involved, and what better way to get involved than to join a club? At the Leavitt School of Business, we have a club for each major! Across 11 clubs, you are sure to find the best group to get you involved with things you love, around people who love it too. Each club is also heavily involved with the business school as well; between competitions, socials, dinners, and networking opportunities, there is enough to keep you busy outside of classes and work. These opportunities are great for providing ways for students to prepare for their future careers through connection and experiences with their peers and mentors.

Entrepreneurship
The Larry H. and Gail Miller Center for Entrepreneurship Program is dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs alike across the university. The principles of the program are simple: Educate, Experience, Elevate. The Entrepreneurship Center is a fantastic opportunity to network, gain experience and learn how to market yourself and your business through mentoring and experiential learning. The Entrepreneurship Center offers many options for involvement, including an Entrepreneurship club, multiple roleplay sales competitions and the Entrepreneurship Speaker Series, which features a new experienced entrepreneur speaker each week.

SUUConnect
The SUUConnect platform is a valuable asset to all SUU students, but the networking advantages offered by the program are especially vital to business students! The university launched SUUConnect last spring, to help students find internship and job opportunities in an all-inclusive platform. Many prestigious universities like UC Berkeley, Johns Hopkins and BYU also use the platform as a method of connecting with students. Through the program, students can find a valuable community with alumni from their school and develop important mentoring relationships with their predecessors. SUUConnect works with Handshake to make it easier for students to find internships and employment opportunities.
