SUU Biology offers a truly unique undergraduate experience. Students work side by side with faculty who are experts in their fields. In addition, students are given the opportunity to learn through personalized hands-on experiences (labs, workshops, undergraduate research (student driven), internships, cadaver practicum, etc.).

Lab or Field Experience

Our campus location at the intersection of diverse ecosystems—deserts, alpine regions, lakes—provide students with exceptional field interaction. With small class sizes, students work side-by-side with professors who are experts in their fields. Personalized study in labs, workshops, internships, research projects, and field trips to major ecoregions prepare students thoroughly for graduate school and their future careers.

Teaching License Option

To qualify for a teaching license, students must take professional education courses through SUU's Department of Teacher Education. Please see the degree requirements for Secondary Education Licensure.
