Utah Promise Program Grant
The Utah Promise Program Grant is a needs-based grant program. This program can help pay for tuition and fees in qualifying circumstances. To qualify for the Utah Promise Program Grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be enrolled at a qualifying institution as; a resident of Utah or qualify for resident tuition
- Must demonstrate financial need.
- Accept all other grants, tuition/fee waivers, and scholarships offered to the applicant.
- Maintain and meet Satisfactory Academic Progress.
- Applicants must accept all other grants, tuition/fee waivers, and scholarships that are offered to them.
- A recipient may receive scholarship funds until one of the following occurs.

Received a bachelor's degree

Earns a cumulative total of 120 credits

Or a recipient meets the academic qualifications for a bachelor's degree

How to apply
- Complete the Utah Promise Program Grant application.
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by going to https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.
- Applications are due the first day of class.
Terms
- Recipients must complete and submit a FAFSA or the alternative financial form approved by the USHE board each year to determine if they meet the income level requirements.
- If a student is selected for verification, verification must be completed before funds are disbursed onto the student's account.
- Funding is contingent on the availability of funding provided by the state. The availability of this award may vary, or be rescinded if there are changes in funding allocations.

***This is a last dollar grant. It may be reduced and/or canceled if another grant or loan comes in after it is applied to the recipients account.
