Teacher Education Scholarship
The Teacher Education Scholarship was created by Jim Miller and Quinton Bowler, two education professors at SUU in the 1970s. They created the scholarship to help nontraditional students come back and receive a teaching degree. This scholarship has been carried on by Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Bowler, who began working for the University in September 1995. Recipients of this scholarship may be involved in the graduate studies in education or have an interest in special education and administration.
Early Childhood Development Scholarship
The Early Childhood Development Scholarship is awarded to students pursuing a degree in Family Life and Human Development with an emphasis on Early Childhood Development Emphasis. This program emphasizes child development, child guidance, curriculum planning, and teaching young children.
