CONS Annual Research Symposium
The Walter Maxwell Gibson College of Natural Sciences holds a Research Symposium each fall to showcase science research from both students and faculty in the college. In progress, as well as more complete, research presentations are invited. This is an opportunity to prepare for future presentations at such places as Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research (UCUR), Utah Academy of Sciences, Arts & Letters, and Festival of Excellence. Both poster and oral presentations are welcome.
When & Where:
- Wednesday, November 6, 2024 in the Hunter Alumni Center
- 2024 Keynote Speaker: TBD 5:30 PM in the Gilbert Great Hall
- Poster and Oral Presentations: 6:15 PM
Abstract Guidelines:
- The deadline for Abstract Submission is Friday, October 18th.
- Abstracts must be 250 words or less.
- Posters are due by Friday, October 25th, and must be emailed to cons_deansoffice@suu.edu. Poster dimensions may be up to 30” tall and 40” wide. Posters must be in a PDF file format, and must not have a black or dark background. This template can be helpful when designing your poster to ensure the correct dimensions and resolution.
- Oral presentations are 15 minutes (2 minutes introduction & preparation, 10 minutes for presentation, 3 minutes for questions & answers) A TV cart or projector will be in each room, please bring your presentation on a flash drive.
