Southern Utah University is pleased to announce that three new student housing units will be ready for the 2004 summer semester. The Eccles Living and Learning Center is currently progressing so quickly that those who are watching will see changes on a daily basis. By January, SUU will have a model apartment open for students and the public to view.

The project was originally slated to open prior to the 2004 fall semester, but continued partnering efforts between Evergreene Construction, the project’s contractor, and SUU, have been very effective. In fact, SUU and Evergreene have partnered again to furnish the complex. SUU will select and contract for the furnishings and Evergreene will manage the unpacking and installation of the furniture. Evergreene will also prepare inventory sheets that detail all objects for each room in the building as well as complete punch list items.

SUU is excited about making these units available to its students for occupancy in May 2004 just in time for the Maymester session, beginning the second week of May.
