Dianne Werber, secretary to the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Southern Utah University, has been selected as one of the nation’s best advisers, for her role as Adviser to the SUU student chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha, the national honor society of political science.

Every year the national organization of Pi Sigma Alpha selects three individuals from the 600 chapter advisers across the country as the Best, and it chose SUU’s Dianne Werber as one of the Best for 2004!

Official recognition will come to Dianne in the September issue of “P: Political Science and Politics Quarterly,” the journal of the American Political Science Association, and then again at the organization’s national convention in Chicago that same month. Dianne will receive a $1,000 cash gift to accompany the honor.

Also the Assistant Director of the Michael O. Leavitt Center for Politics and Public Service at SUU, Dianne has worked on the staff of the Institution for 18 years. She is an alum of SUU, too.
