The School of Business at Southern Utah University is delighted to announce the details of the second installations of the Wells Fargo Executive Speaker Series for the benefit and education of students, employees and the community at large.

Leslie Snavely, the Director of Retail Sales for the Pepsi Bottling Company, Salt Lake City Marketing Unit, will speak on Friday, January 13, in the Sharwan Smith Theatre, beginning at 11:00 a.m. She will discuss the lessons she has learned since taking on the challenge of transitioning from college life to the real world of Corporate America. A no-host lunch will follow Snavely’s presentation.

Snavely oversees half of the Pepsi distribution in Utah and is responsible for all of the key account selling and profit and loss management for the retail channel, consisting of grocery stores, mass merchandisers, and convenience/gas stores. Prior to her position with Pepsi, she spent eight years with Proctor & Gamble as a finance and accounting manager, sales project manager and brand manager. Originally from Shelby, Ohio, Snavely graduated Summa Cum Laude from Miami University of Ohio with a degree in Finance and Accounting.

The Wells Fargo Executive Speaker Series will allow students and the southern Utah community the opportunity to work alongside and learn from professionals who have dedicated their lives to a specific field of interest. "The program will create beneficial bonds between businesses and our students," Carl Templin, dean of the School of Business, says, "so that the latter can tap into the business executives’ expertise on a long-term career basis."

The lecture Series will feature accomplished business executives from a variety of industries throughout Utah and beyond who will share their professional knowledge on timely business issues that affect us all. The inaugural speaker was Patricia Richards, senior vice president and regional manager of Wells Fargo, who spoke on the "Three Rules of Leadership."

Each installation of the Wells Fargo Executive Speaker Series at SUU is Free and open to the public.

"The impact the business executives have on students and employees during their visit," Templin comments, "enhances their lives and education by provoking thoughtful classroom discussions, workshops and practical application."

Wells Fargo supports programs that impact and provide vital service to the campus and community. SUU strives to be a resource to southern Utah for information that facilitates citizens to engage in lifelong learning. These two entities partnering together on the Business Executive Speaker Series is a valuable package for the benefit of all participants.
