Employee Giving gains Momentum, Students Profit

As 2010 graduate and University Commencement speaker Alyssa Sanders aptly explained as she bid farewell to the peers, professors and mentors who contributed to her success, “SUU is mine as well as it is yours.”
She continues, “We are the breath and soul of this University; we bring it to life.”
It is that breath of life that makes SUU shine above its competitors. It is that Thunderbird pride that makes SUU unforgettable.
Our students -- and the programs and activities in which they participate while attending SUU -- are the direct benefactors of employee giving, and in that spirit, the Office of Institutional Advancement has set a telling goal: 100-percent participation in the University’s employee giving program.
And though it may seem lofty, this is one goal that may prove wholly realistic, given the close-knit community of faculty and staff who remain committed to giving students the very best of the SUU experience.
Reaching the three-quarter mark on its goal just weeks into fundraising efforts, the advancement office would like to thank all those who have generously responded –- showcasing the commitment and interest so many hold in our students’ success.
There are a variety of ways to give, from a one-time gift to an automatic payroll deduction, and employees may direct funds to the department or college of their choosing. At 76 percent participation, we're in the final stretch, contact SUU Advancement to join in, and help us continue to make the SUU experience something unique, worthwhile and unforgettable.
