SUU Hosts International Linguistic Symposium
Southern Utah University is proud to host the 42nd Linguistic Symposium on Romance Languages, beginning Friday, April 20, and running through the day Sunday, April 22.
This is the first year for SUU to host the symposium, one of the premier international conferences on linguistics in the country. In recent years, the symposium has been hosted by universities such as the University of Washington and the University of Arizona.
This year, over 60 scholars from North America, South America, and Europe have gathered on SUU's campus to present papers and discuss various topics related to the study of the Romance languages.
The 2012 keynote speakers are Dr. Travis G. Bradley (University of California-Davis) and Dr. Deborah Arteaga (University of Nevada-Las Vegas).
