CEO to Help Entrepreneurs Catch a Wave in Business Speaker Series

The School of Business will continue its popular Wells Fargo Business Executive Speaker Series this school year, opening its 2012-13 series with “Riding the Biggest Wave,” a presentation by CEO Ryan Smith about the entrepreneurial mindset.

Smith, co-founder and CEO of Qualtrics, will discuss how all entrepreneurs across markets can capitalize on tends to “catch and ride” the biggest market-specific waves. His presentation will be held in the Great Hall of the Hunter Conference Center at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 6. As with all presentations in the Wells Fargo Speaker Series, Smith’s presentation is open to the public, free admission.

Smith co-founded Qualtrics in 2002 with the goal of making sophisticated research simple. As CEO, he has led the company from a basement startup to one of the fastest growing technology companies, marked by triple-digit growth in the past four years.

Qualtrics is an industry-leading provider of enterprise feedback management and survey software solutions, providing a platform to keep a company’s professional research process in-house and immediately actionable.

Smith has been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch and the Wall Street Journal and is a popular speaker at the nation’s top business schools.

Before Qualtrics, Smith worked at HP and Ford Motor Company and studies at the Marriott School of Management.
