Summer Send-off in Campus Party, Live on TV

Mid-way through finals week, SUU will send students off to summer adventure in a campus-wide party for all T-Birds, broadcast live on ABC 4 Utah, on Tuesday, April 29, from 4-6:30 p.m. on the Upper Quad (east of the Carter Carillon).

Get your first taste of summer's best and take a break from last-minute cramming with a free BBQ, games, big prizes and fun alongside friends, roommates and professors. Sneak away from those scantrons and break away from those books because this is a T-Bird party you won’t want to miss.

Break out the face paint and red t-shirts you've been collecting throughout the year, and showcase your Thunderbird pride to all of Utah. Big prizes, including an iPad mini and iPod are up for grabs to the best dressed SUU super fans.

Prizes will be given to winners of classic summer lawn games, running throughout the evening. And, because a campus party wouldn't be complete without a free shirt, Thor tees for everyone (while supplies last).

The event will also boast a photo booth, where everyone can get a free photo taken with Thor—one last memento of your 2013-14 school year at SUU.

ABC-4 Utah will be broadcasting live from SUU's campus throughout the day on April 29. Students, faculty, staff and community members are welcome to swing by for a first-hand glimpse at live TV news and a possible television cameo, broadcast statewide. The morning broadcast will run from 4:30-7 a.m. in the J.L. Sorenson Physical Education Building. Good Things Utah will air from 9-10 a.m. and the afternoon news will run from 11 a.m.-noon in front of the Sherratt Library/Business Quad. The evening news desk will broadcast from the Upper Quad from 4-6:30 p.m.
